  • 1/4 cup Thai Sweet Chili Sauce Modify for sweetness
  • 1-2 tablespoons Chili Garlic Sauce Use sparingly for milder flavor

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, and chili garlic sauce. Mix well and set aside for at least 10–15 minutes.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together egg and buttermilk. In another bowl, mix flour, panko breadcrumbs, and seasonings.
  3. Pat shrimp dry, coat in flour mixture, dip in egg mixture, and then roll in flour mixture again. Chill for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F. A small pinch of flour should sizzle when the oil is ready.
  5. Carefully add shrimp to hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Drizzle the sauce over the hot shrimp and toss gently until coated. Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side.
