For the Buttering
  • 2 tablespoons Softened Butter Generously spread for golden-brown, crispy exterior.
For the Filling
  • 2 slices Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese Use your favorite for creamy richness.
  • 1 medium Boiled Potatoes Thinly sliced.
  • 1 medium Cucumber Freshly sliced.
  • 1 medium Tomato Ripe, firm slices.
  • 1 small Onion Very thinly sliced.
  • 2 tablespoons Green Chutney Essential for authentic flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala Optional.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Generously spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a thin layer of green chutney.
  3. Layer thinly sliced boiled potatoes, cucumber, tomato, and onion on top of the chutney.
  4. Finish with cheese slices, then top with the second slice of bread, butter side facing up.
  5. Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
