Step-by-Step Instructions for Cheesy Rice
  1. Rinse the long grain white rice in a fine mesh sieve under cold running water until the water runs clear.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and lightly browned.
  3. Add the rinsed rice, 4 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of whole milk, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well.
