Crust
  • 2 pre-made Pie Crusts Homemade can be used if preferred
  • 1 each Egg (beaten) For egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar For sprinkling on top

  • 0.25 cup Chopped Pistachios For garnish
  • 0.25 cup Maraschino Cherries For garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and mini chocolate chips. Blend until smooth and creamy for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Press one pie crust into a 9x9-inch baking dish, trimming excess crust.
  4. Spread the ricotta filling evenly over the pressed pie crust.
  5. Place the second pie crust over the filling, sealing edges and brushing with a beaten egg. Sprinkle sugar on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top crust is golden brown and flaky.
  7. Let cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares.
