Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, around 8–10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Ground Beef: In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, half of the Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5–7 minutes until browned. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Prepare the Garlic: Reduce heat to medium, add remaining butter, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Create the Cream Sauce: Stir in the cream cheese until melted. This forms a creamy base for the Alfredo sauce.
  5. Incorporate the Milk: Gradually whisk in milk or half-and-half, then add Parmesan cheese and remaining Cajun seasoning. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked ground beef and drained pasta to the skillet. Toss until pasta is well coated with sauce. If too thick, add reserved pasta water.
  7. Serve the Dish: Remove from heat, garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley or red pepper flakes, and serve hot.
