Preparation Steps
- Start by draining and pressing the tofu for 15–20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Cut the tofu into uniform bite-sized cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil, whisking until blended.
- Spread cornstarch on a plate and coat the tofu cubes evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the coated tofu cubes in batches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove tofu and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
- Pour in the honey garlic sauce and toss the tofu to coat.
- Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately over steamed rice or quinoa.
