Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by pressing your extra-firm tofu between kitchen towels for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the tofu until golden brown.
  5. Transfer cooked tofu to a plate and sauté bell peppers and onions.
  6. Add minced ginger and garlic to the vegetables and cook until fragrant.
  7. Fold in pineapple chunks and drizzle in the sauce mixture.
  8. Return the crispy tofu to the pan and stir to coat.
  9. Cook for an additional minute before serving.
