  2. Hull and dice 12 oz of strawberries, and reserve 16 oz hulled strawberries for the sauce.
  3. Beat eggs and granulated sugar on high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in sour cream, olive oil, and vanilla at low speed until combined.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl; fold into the egg mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour half the batter into the pan, sprinkle diced strawberries, pour remaining batter, and place halved strawberries on top.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before removing.
  8. Blend reserved strawberries with sugar for the sauce until smooth, adjusting sweetness to your taste.
