Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Dissolve ¼ cup of kosher salt and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in about 4 cups of warm water. Stir in 2 smashed garlic cloves.
  2. Submerge chicken in the brine for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Remove chicken, pat dry, and mix seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. Rub the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F) and clean the grates.
  5. Place chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes to achieve grill marks.
  6. Flip the chicken carefully and grill for an additional 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Remove from grill and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
