Ingredients
  

Marinade

Kabobs
  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into 1½-inch cubes; substitutes: chicken or firm tofu
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined; substitutes: scallops or omit for vegetarian
  • 1 red bell pepper brings sweetness and color; substitutes: green bell peppers or other veggies
  • 1 yellow bell pepper adds additional sweetness; substitutes: any bell pepper variety
  • 1 red onion provides sharpness; substitutes: sweet onion or shallots
  • 1 zucchini sliced into thick rounds; substitutes: mushrooms or eggplant

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Place the cubed sirloin steak into a large resealable bag, pour in half of the marinade, seal the bag tightly, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  3. Coat the peeled and deveined shrimp in the remaining marinade, cover, and refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F, and lightly oil the grill grates.
  5. Thread steak cubes, marinated shrimp, and colorful vegetable chunks onto skewers, leaving space between pieces.
  6. Grill the assembled kabobs for about 3-4 minutes per side until the steak is cooked to your liking and shrimp turn pink.
  7. Let kabobs rest for a few minutes before serving with your favorite sides.
