- Start by peeling, coring, and slicing about 4 medium tart apples into thin wedges. Toss the apple slices with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of oats, ¼ cup of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and pour it into the dry ingredients. Mix until crumbly.
