- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Stir together melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until blended, then add egg and vanilla.
- Gradually add flour mixture into wet ingredients, stirring gently, then fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into the baking pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the brownies on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan until golden brown, then mix with powdered sugar, half and half, and vanilla.
