Preparation

  3. Blend the melted butter, eggs, whole milk, kosher salt, white sugar, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the arranged pears, gently tapping the pan to release air bubbles.
  5. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and set. Jiggle to test doneness.
  6. Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before serving.
