Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9-inch round pie pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
- Peel, core, and thinly slice the pears, then arrange them across the bottom of the pie pan.
- Blend the melted butter, eggs, whole milk, kosher salt, white sugar, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the arranged pears, gently tapping the pan to release air bubbles.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and set. Jiggle to test doneness.
- Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before serving.
