  • 1 cup Warm Water 110°F/45°C
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar can substitute with honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt essential
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Italian Seasoning or fresh herbs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or provolone
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese or Pecorino Romano
For Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley optional
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter for brushing, or olive oil

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water with sugar, mixing until dissolved. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5-7 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the dry ingredients. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, knead in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until evenly mixed.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf, place it in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the loaf with melted butter. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
