- In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Heat water and butter, add to mixture with egg, and mix for 2 minutes.
- Gradually mix in more flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-10 minutes and then let rest for 10 minutes.
- Mix blueberry preserves and fresh blueberries gently in a bowl.
- Roll dough out into a rectangle and brush with melted butter. Spread the filling evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and slice into 12 rolls. Place in a greased pan.
- Cover rolls and let them rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Sprinkle almonds on top and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Transfer baked rolls to a wire rack to cool. Prepare frosting and drizzle over warm rolls.
- Top with sliced almonds and serve warm.
