  1. Wash the cucumbers under cold water and slice them into 1/8 inch thick rounds. Set aside to drain.
  2. Chop the jalapeño, removing seeds for less heat, and thinly slice the red onion.
  3. Finely chop the cilantro after rinsing to remove moisture.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cucumbers, jalapeño, red onion, and cilantro.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the mixture and add salt, mixing gently to avoid damaging the cucumber.
  6. Toss everything together and taste to adjust flavors before serving or chill for 30 minutes.
