Step 1: Brew Tea
- Boil water to approximately 175°F (79°C). Steep green tea bags or loose leaf in water for about 3 minutes. Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Strawberry Puree
- Blend hulled and washed strawberries until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
Step 3: Sweeten and Reduce
- Combine the strawberry puree, granulated sugar, and optional lemon juice in a saucepan. Heat over medium until boiling, then simmer for 7-8 minutes.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
- In a glass, pour chilled green tea and add strawberry puree. Stir gently, fill with ice cubes, and garnish as desired.
