  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 4 cups Cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 cup Red Bell Peppers (sliced)
  • 1 cup Carrots (julienned)
  • 1/2 cup Onion (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (grated)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut Aminos
  • 1 tablespoon Honey optional for Whole30
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice or lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil or fish sauce, optional

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat for about 1 to 2 minutes until shimmering.
  2. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic to the oil, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Introduce the ground beef, breaking it apart while cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
  4. Add the diced onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
  5. Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until wilted.
  6. Toss in the sliced red bell peppers and julienned carrots, cooking for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked ground beef and juices back into the skillet, mixing thoroughly and heating through.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, lime juice, honey, sriracha, and sesame oil or fish sauce, pouring it over the stir fry.
  9. Toss everything together for 1 to 2 minutes until heated through and well combined.
