  • 12 ounces Smoked Sausage or Kielbasa Sliced into rounds
  • 3 medium Yukon Gold Potatoes Diced
  • 2 medium Carrots Peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium Onion Diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 4 cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Fresh Parsley For garnish

Preparation Steps
  1. Slice half a head of cabbage into wedges and dice three medium Yukon Gold potatoes into bite-sized chunks.
  2. Peel and slice two carrots, and dice one onion.
  3. Mince three cloves of garlic and slice the smoked sausage into rounds.
  4. In your slow cooker, layer the cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic, and sausage evenly.
  5. Pour four cups of broth over the ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle in smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Gently stir to combine, cover, and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Check doneness; vegetables should be fork-tender and sausage heated through.
  9. Adjust seasoning if desired and serve warm, garnished with parsley.
