Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the fusilli pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, then reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Transfer shrimp to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced andouille sausage and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.
  4. Add the chopped red and green bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Cook for approximately 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and stir for another minute.
  5. Pour the Alfredo sauce into the skillet, add reserved pasta water, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return the shrimp and sausage to the skillet. Add the fusilli and toss gently to coat. Adjust sauce consistency with more pasta water if needed.
  7. Serve garnished with parsley and shaved Parmesan. Enjoy your Spicy Cajun Delight!
