  • 1 cup Chili Sauce or barbecue sauce as an alternative
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper add to taste
For the Meatballs
  • 32 ounces Frozen Meatballs (beef or turkey) or substitute with homemade meatballs

Equipment

  • large non-stick skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, combine jellied cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well-blended and begins to heat up, about 5 minutes.
  2. Once the sauce is bubbling, carefully stir in the frozen meatballs, ensuring they are coated with the sauce. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. After simmering, check that the meatballs have reached an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C). If not, give them a few more minutes in the sauce.
  4. Transfer the meatballs to a festive serving bowl, garnish with fresh parsley or rosemary, and serve with toothpicks or keep warm in a slow cooker.
