Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce can substitute with a low-sodium version
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice fresh or canned
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar can substitute with coconut sugar
  • 3 cloves minced garlic fresh is best
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce optional for gluten-free, use tamari
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked preferred
Kabobs
  • 1 pound beef sirloin or ribeye can substitute with chicken or firm tofu
  • 1 pound large shrimp frozen shrimp works if properly thawed
  • 1 cup bell peppers chopped
  • 1 cup onions chopped
  • 1 cup tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper.
  2. Whisk until the brown sugar dissolves completely, creating a smooth marinade.
  3. Divide the marinade into two bags: one for meat and another for vegetables.
  4. Marinate for 4-6 hours in the refrigerator.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F to 450°F).
  6. Skewer the marinated beef, shrimp, and vegetables on soaked wooden skewers.
  7. Grill the skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes for even cooking.
  8. Once cooked, let the skewers rest for a few minutes before serving.
